I began my mortgage career working for a private money firm in the late 1970's. When I started in the business, I learned how to prospect, how to take care of my customers - how to set myself apart from the competition. Perhaps the most important thing I learned was eventually, everyone I came into contact with would some day need my services. The opportunity was amazing. As a successful loan originator, I consistently closed 20+ loans /month. I have often been asked how I maintained that type of volume month after month, year after year. My secret is quite simple - I created such a fantastic experience for my borrowers that they truly became my 'clients for life'. Repeat business and referrals allowed me to grow my volume and thoroughly enjoy my career. My customers knew from the very beginning of the mortgage process what to expect, and my primary objective was to deliver what was promised - every time! As my volume increased, I surrounded myself with a support team that had the same ethical standards as I did. I realized although I was a very good mortgage salesperson, I could not keep my origination volume growing, nor keep my clients happy, without an experienced team to efficiently complete the processing, closing and funding of my loans.

The path to success in our industry may seem simple, but it is amazing how few mortgage professionals are in the proper environment to achieve the type of success that I have been so fortunate to enjoy. After 25+ years in the mortgage industry I founded Vantex Mortgage Group, Inc. in January 2003 to provide the type of environment that would enable mortgage professionals with high ethical standards to rise to the top of our profession.
